Hello everyone,

After I have updated my Internet Explorer to version 7, the drop down menu ( File, Edit, View, Insert and Format ) of the CMS does not work any more,

I tried to open the demo page http://demo.acuitycms.com/admin/ and it happens the same.

Could anyone please give me some idea of how to fix this problem, thank a lot

Yes, good old Microsoft! Believe it or not, the dropdown menu was using custom code that was actually written by a Microsoft developer and given out as an example of how to do dropdown menus. In good old Microsoft fashion they changed the proprietary features in IE7 and it no longer works.

There is no fix for this problem. However we have a new version of Acuity CMS that is based on a new visual editor, which will be released in the near future. The new version works in Mozilla and on Macs, and it has a bunch of cool new editor features.

In the meantime I think the only things you can't access from the buttons that were in the menu are form fields and font faces. You shouldn't be using different font faces to your style sheets anyway, and there is no detailed forms support in Acuity, so you should not miss these features too much.
